Commercial Operations

Finance Operations

The finance arm of Macdonald Hotels & Resorts plays an essential role in supporting our customer-facing activities and allows our managers to make the right business decisions for our guests, our teams and our shareholders.  From ensuring that revenue is collected effectively, suppliers are paid promptly, and teams are accurately paid; finance touches on all aspects of the business.  We have a finance department on site at most hotels and a range of specialist central finance roles at our head office locations in Bathgate and Aviemore. We take care of management reporting, centralised transaction processing, and statutory reporting.

Hotel Operations

In a General Manager or Operations Manager we look for passionate and commercially savvy leaders. You’ll demonstrate the art of customer service, inspire the GMs of the future and bring out the best in your team with your brilliant people management skills. Show an astute business brain to drive revenue and profitability and the rewards are aplenty.

Group Operations

Our team leaders thrive on responsibility. They have the know-how to steer their crew in the optimum direction so that together we achieve our group and hotel targets. Working across the top of the chain, from Director level to Managers, we welcome the likes of heads of Commerce, Food and Beverage, Human resources, Purchasing, Systems and Property.


A large hotel group can’t function well without a team of Administration Support staff. Demonstrating exceptional organisational skills, you’ll keep us on track with the three Ds - deadlines, detail and direction. If you’re competent with computers and are terrific at communication, then you could join Macdonald Hotels & Resorts as a Personal Assistant or Administrative Assistant.


Do you speak computer? If you’re fluent in building and maintaining brilliantly efficient systems – we want you on our team. You’ll help keep all our departments ticking over nicely, make our customer journey enjoyably simple and identify ways to keep Macdonald Hotels & Resorts commercially ahead of the game. Macdonald Norwood Hall Hotel

Maconald Lochanhully Woodland Club is a nature lover’s paradise; there are few places of work that offer such bewitching surroundings. Location doesn’t come better than Macdonald Tickled Trout Hotel near Preston. Perfectly positioned in a River Ribble setting but close to major motorway networks, makes commuting to work easy as anything.
